Our annual prayer vigil begins after Maundy Thursday Service on Thursday, March 29 at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Time slots are for 30 minutes each, so please consider signing up for more than one slot!

Seeking Youth Minister

We are looking for a full time Youth Minister. The general purpose of this position is to build young disciples for Christ by administering a comprehensive approach to youth ministry by group building, worship, discipleship, mission and outreach while serving as a spiritual leader and role model. Qualifications include:  high moral character; Christian role model; energetic and enthusiastic; good communication skills with youth of all ages utilizing appropriate and available technology; supervision skills; preferably have a seminary degree or college degree with specific training in youth counseling; participate in workshops or other continuing education to enhance job skills, and be called by God to work in this ministry of Preschool through High School students. 

Preference is given to candidates who are members of the Disciples of Christ denomination. Also, position is somewhat flexible and we are willing to discuss other employment options or internships. Praise and Worship March 25!

Join us for refreshments at 9:15am in the Christian Center. Then at 9:30am in the Sanctuary, Shannon, Bryan and Lamar will lead us as we sing praises to our Lord and Savior!

We host Family Promise beginning March 25

Although it is our turn to host homeless families with children the week of March 25, presently there are no families in the program. Through our covenant with Family Promise of Effingham, we provide volunteers to provide suppers, light breakfasts and sack lunches, and to spend the night at the church.  Click here to volunteer or contact Joyce Ann Tuten at (912) 754- 3290.
