Disciples Men (Formerly know as Christian Men's Fellowship) meets monthly for dinner, devotion, mission and business. Men volunteer to prepare the meals and to lead the devotions on a monthly schedule. There is no meeting in December.
Either in February or November, an annual banquet is prepared by the men for all the ladies of the congregation. That meeting is at 7 pm and includes musical entertainment.
Since 2012, the men have participated in many projects benefiting our community.
Our men's group includes Regional Elder Medie Still III (deceased December 2021); our District Representative, Michael "Trouble" Bodnar for Georgia Disciples Men; the Past President of the General Conference of Disciple Men for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Archie Jenkins; the 2014 Georgia Layman of the Year, Laverne Cavanah (deceased May 2016); and the 2015 Georgia Layman of the Year, Lamar Hall.
