PASTOR JOEL RETIRES --
Seven years ago, Guyton Christian Church entered a new season and welcomed Pastor Joel Tucker to its family and to its pulpit. As chief shepherd, Pastor Joel has played an invaluable role for our church family. His sermons have always been energetic and thought provoking. His music skills have provided countless worshipful experiences. His booming voice has awakened the soul and Spirit within each of us at different times in our faith walk. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 NIV Pastor Joel, our church knows that God will work for your good because you do love God. And you have been called to his purpose for you. Called to lead, called to teach, called to play & sing, called to be a friend, called to care & called to be graceful. Guyton Christian appreciates the season that it has shared with you. As a church and as the individuals who make up this church, we have been shaped by your leadership and by God’s purpose for you. We wish you great health and many continued years of serving the Lord and others as you enter into a new chapter in life. May your retirement not be the end of your calling and purpose. We are happy to announce that Nancy Summerour is our new, part-time Youth Coordinator. Join in at The Rock for food, fellowship and study.
Becky began as Administrative Assistant at Guyton Christian Church in January 2016 after teaching and working in management. She has a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. Her skills in the office are matched by her zeal for the Church.
Becky is married to Jack Malcom and they have a daughter, Kylie.
She works part-time and is usually in The Disciples' Post Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
